Rare car, indeed. Only 8,786 2-door hardtops built and just 1,893 4-door hardtops. Which is yours?
Introduced in 1973, it was PMD's attempt at a "Euro style" design. the '73 sales were pretty good, the '74 sales lower, and the '75 sales the lowest. People just never caught on to the concept.

Yes, I would like to participate in such an article. How would that work?
I have attached a picture.
The car is in its original condition. My goal is to restore the car, but I don't know where to begin. It runs fine and I drive it several times per week.
One of the biggest challenges is that it has a factory install sunroof that does not work any longer and is sealed shut. _________________ |

I'm sure we should be able to help you find information and answers as you tackle the restoration. But one thing to consider is perhaps just how far you wish to go with it. They are only original once, and in recognition of that, there are now special classes for original cars in most all clubs and organizations. A real good freshening-up of cleaning, detailing, seals and such might yield a very nice original well-respected car.
If you would like to participate in making a "Cover" Feature Article we will need as many good quality photos as you can supply. They can be e-mailed to either: info@pontiacregistry.com or tac@gte.net.
The same with a story about you and your car, or cars. The more, the better. people love reading about the car(s) and also the person... it's nice to know there are others like us out there!
As a "Thank You" we will extend your PontiacRegistry.com membership another two years for free and also produce the artwork for an 18"x 24" Show Display Poster. We design the artwork and send it to you to have printed and mounted locally. See a sample here.
BTW, nice car! As a former Can Am owner, I love that era of Lemans' especially the Grand Ams and Can Ams. Did you see the feature article we just did for August of a Can Am? Cool car and great story. _________________ PontiacRegistry.com... building the single largest source of Pontiac information, services, and entertainment in the world! |
