'64 Tempest Paint Type

My '64 Tempest has probably 50% of the original paint intact. This winter I plan on fixing some spots..............possibly myself. What type of paint did Pontiac use for the Tempest in '64........enamel or laquer?

Find david Ross of Naples, Florida and drop him a note. He is very knowledgable in this area.

You may also want to drop a note to Technical Advisor Ron Hoffman up in Ohio. He is a Pontiac restoration expert with tons of expertise in the paint area.

I think you may need some guidance here, because even if laquer is the right answer, I wonder if it is even available to use any more. There have been lots of changes due to EPA requirements.
