I have one Pontiac 400 block for sale (bottom end & heads available if needed). Don't know what year it is but, if someone is interested enough to e-mail I'll find out no problem - Std. bore. Was partially cleaned & magnafluxed & found to have no cracks. One of the water pump bolts was broken off in the upper right hole for the timing cover - a machine shop can usually remove that for less than $20.00. Crank shaft has been turned 10/20. Rods are factory that are in good shape - they have been resized. Pistons are TRW forged aluminum less than 10K on them. Heads are 6X castings. I also have an original 1968 Oldsmobile 455 Rocket out of a 1968 Delta 88. This motor was pulled out of a vehicle that was wrecked that had under 30K miles on the original motor in 1977 (next door neighbor had it laying in his garage for an airboat project). It's a complete junkyard style pull - complete from the oil pan all the way up to the air cleaner which still says "Olds 455 Rocket" on it. It also has carburetor, mechanical fuel pump, pulley system, alternator, A/C lines, A/C Compressor, power steering pump, belts, exhaust manifolds, flexplate, starter, etc...a COMPLETE 60s era engine that survived in its original form. I ran the numbers on this one. It appears to have been rated at 360+ HP & near 500 LBS/FT of torque. It even has the distributor & wires/plugs still. Reply or message me for more information. |
