65 Catalina Clutch

I'm doing a conversion from an auto trans to an M20 4 speed & need help with the clutch linkage. I have every thing except the Zbar & Frame Brkt. I will be using a Lakewood bellhousing. I don't know what supports the inboard end (engine side of the Zbar) Does the Ball Stud screw into the engine block or is the stock bellhousing tapped for it. The Lakewood does not have a provision for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated, If some one has done this conversion with a lakewood please let me know how it was done. Lakewood claims the do not have a bracket for this bellhousing?

The inboard mounting on my '66 was made using a bracket (part # 9784966) that bolts to the bell housing, and I think it was used in '65 & '67 also. I'm not sure about other years. When I put mine back together I worried about if it ever broke as the originals are almost impossible to find (haven't seen one listed anywhere in 9 years). However, a person has advertised in Smoke Signals magazine a remanufactured bracket for $75. He claims it is excellent, but I don't know anyone who has used one. From the picture it loooks like it is OK and actually looks stronger than the original. The name listed is Robert Stephens at 262-790-2505.
If you buy one, let me know how it works as I have thought about buying one for a spare.
