We're always interested in helping others locate parts and/or save money.
When I needed a new heater vacuum control valve for my '69 LeMans, I went up on-line to the reproduction parts houses. The price I found at a major source (which, by the way, is very good and I have bought much from) was $39.00 plus shipping (which we're sure was going to be a healthy additional amount, as always).
So, off to NAPA we went. They had a replacement NAPA Part Number 660-1023, and had it by the same afternoon.
If you look you will see that the only difference is that the vacuum line hookup has a slight bend as opposed to straight out, but we don't care. The cost was only $22.99 w/tax $24.60. If we're right, this is probably half what the other one from the reproduction house might be. It is also a common part for many other Pontiacs.
If you need parts for your older Pontiac(s) don't forget to check NAPA first. _________________ PontiacRegistry.com... building the single largest source of Pontiac information, services, and entertainment in the world! |
