Hello, I have a 1938 Pontiac business coupe six, in great condition.
For my insurance I need the vehicle value. That's not easy, because this model is rarely sold. Can anybody tell me the production figures? Or something about the history of my model? (vin 6DA23115) Or anybody knows an actual saleprice? THX for help, wish you always good drive, greetz from germany! |

WOW! Was fur ein schoen Auto!
There are no individual production figures by model back in those early years. As for value, other than a professional appraisal, I would suggest getting a copy of the Old Cars Price Guide. It is probably the most up to date periodical for car values. It offers the 6-point condition evaluation with prices accordingly.
Maybe with a letter from a professional "car person" authenticating the condition rating, then the price shown would be honored. Naturally you would have to provide copies of the Price Guide info and a letter from someone who would be a believable "car person." I've spoken with others who have successfully done this sort of documentation for insurance purposes.
If you can't get the Price Guide in Germany, let me know and I'll find one and get it to you. _________________ PontiacRegistry.com... building the single largest source of Pontiac information, services, and entertainment in the world! |
